Pain is Beauty... This time it really is...

When I was growing up my mom always made comments like, pain is beauty, like the first time I got my eye brows plucked by my sister, I felt like I was getting tortured to death, I even went around the house for a while with one eye brow plucked and one unplucked because the pain was that bad. After that first time I never let my sister pluck them again, I prefer to pluck them myself,

Another thing that obviously is a real pain is waxing..... something I am yet to try, for the moment I just rely on my old reliable shaver. but even that can be a pain when you cut yourself by accident ouch.

But these are all nothing compared to the latest Japanese trend, Bagel Head and Earpointing. Have you heard of it? I always knew Japanese were a bit wacky but this is extreme...

This extraordinary look, is created by injecting saline into the forehead, then pressing in the centre of the swollen area with a thumb, Apparently its a big hit in Japan's underground body modification scene.

The dramatic results of the two-hour treatment last just 16-24 hours, after which the saline is absorbed by the body and the forehead reduces back to its normal size. Thank god for that.

Well you can watch the whole procedure being done on the TV show Taboo in January 2013 on the National Geographic Channel

But I personally was a bit more intrigued about the Earpointing Trend, this is when you have your ears turned pointy so that they look kind of like a cat’s ears. I am a big Cat fan especially Kim Kardashians new cat Mercy... Is it not the cutest cat you have ever seen?

If I was reincarnated as a cat this cute I would be happy lol. But I am going off topic, Check out some photos of ear pointing...  I like the result but not the process lol.

Would any of you reading this be brave enough to try either of these trends? Considering I almost fainted getting a manicure and giving a blood sample I for one will definitely pass.

Style spotting

Ever since I got a glimpse of Project Runway about 2 summers ago now, I have loved it and watched every single episode to date.my Favourite winner so far by miles is of course Mondo.

It's funny almost every season I fall for one designer this season, season 10 I loved Gunnar Deatherage, but now he's been eliminated so now I am rooting for Christopher Palu. I think Styled to Rock doesn't compare at all. I just hate the format, I guess I don't like change, I was so pissed off when ren got eliminated for something he didn't design and that the judges liked. I just thought it was so petty and never would of happened on Project Runway.

I think I am starting to see a pattern I like designers who wear glasses lol, Probably because these days I have been forced to wear my glasses virtually everyday because of conjunctivitis, but I am on Antibiotic drops at the moment and hopefully am on the mend.

Anyway I am sure you all know the Emmy's were on this week and here are some of my style picks.

Sofia Vergara

Julianne Hough

Hiedi Klum
I know the Daily Mail has said she was exposing to much flesh but actually its normal for her remember this pic.
Its almost the same dress in red.... and the same amount of flesh, with her ex husband.

Nina Dobrev stunning in red

All things Rosie

I know roses and all things pink for that matter are not necessarily everyones cup of tea, some find the smell too overbearing or maybe just a little artifical. But I for one love it.

Not too long ago I mentioned that I had ordered a Figs and Rouge Balm from FeelUnique.com I originally had my heart set on the pomegranate scented Balm but then in a moment of madness I decided to go for the Rose Balm to match my Figs and Rouge Rose hand cream
My first impression was the tin is absolutely tiny, its alot smaller than other lipbalms I have bought before. but nonetheless the scent is absolutely gorgeous and you can't help but fall in love with it. Accordings to the Figs and Rouge Website it can be used on your face, body and lips. As the pot is so small I haven't tried using it anywhere else other than my lips for now. But one of these days I might try it as a moisturiser on my face.

Another Rosie purchase I made recently was my Garnier Rose Cleansing Lotion. I had been boots Sensitive Skin Cleansing Lotion and at this point I am absolutely sick of it. After using it, it left my skin with a oily shine, which I didn't like at all and also the packaging is quite clinical looking, I used to use the Boots Cucumber Cleansing Lotion and it never left an oily shine,

So yea the Garnier Rose Cleansing Lotion is a happy addition to my collection, It wipes away make up so easily and smoothly. It is not as heavily scented as Figs and Rouge. But you definitely get a pleasant whiff of roses. I think I am definitely going to purchase the rose cleanser later today. :)

Have you tried any of these products? or Can you reccomend any rose scented products?
